Criminal Records Bureau Checks
The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) was established to provide a service called Disclosure, which allows employers to access the conviction histories of people working, seeking to work or volunteering to work with children or vulnerable adults.

The MPS Society is an umbrella body registered with the CRB. The Society provides a service to other voluntary organisations (who are not themselves registered with the CRB) wishing to apply for disclosure certificates through the CRB.

More information

More information on the Disclosure Service and CRB checks can be found on the CRB website.

For more information on the MPS Society's service as a registered umbrella body please phone us on 0845 389 9901 or email us. We can explain the procedure to you and arrange to send out our CRB information pack.

Charges

The MPS Society charges a nominal fee as an umbrella body for the administration of this process. Charges imposed by the CRB do vary and consequently the Society's charges must reflect these changes. Information on current charges and methods of payment is available separately from the MPS Society.
